We understand filling out timesheets can be a bit confusing. When we are first hired, we all receive a training on what timesheets are. Some of us are PCA’s or DSP’s and others are both. A PCA timesheet looks different from a DSP timesheet. Timesheet are used to track the time you work with your person served. Your timesheets are the best way to track your schedule.
A PCA timesheet must include employees first and last name, person served first and last name, dates of service including the dates not worked, time in and time out including the AM or PM portion, initials on what activities they helped the person served with, employee’s signature, person served signature or RP, PCA provider #, and the date of when the timesheets were reviewed.
A DSP timesheet must include employees first and last name, person served first and last name, dates of service including the dates not worked, time in and time out including the AM or PM portion, service provided, employee’s signature, person served signature, and the date of when the timesheets were reviewed. Now that we touched based on what a timesheet is and what is needed for both a PCA and DSP timesheet when filling them out let us touch base on common mistakes when filling one out.
Some of the common mistakes when filling out timesheets is an employee may forget one or more items from those mentioned above. Although it could be something minor such as a date or choosing the AM or PM portion it does take time reaching out to the employee to obtain that information. It is common to forget crossing out the dates you did not work. When filling out dates of service it is required to still include the dates you were off because this part is used to avoid any confusion with the billing department.
Timesheets are due every other Monday. Life Fountain understands it can be challenging to drop off at the physical office location which is why there are other options to turn in timesheets. One of the options is sending the timesheets via mail. Another option that is accepted is faxing or emailing timesheets to Nancy. It is important to remember that any option that does not involve coming into the office means the original timesheets must be sent in the mail.
Please remember Life Fountain staff is available to answer questions or attend your concerns.
